DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC VICTORIA ROAD SURGERY IS OPERATING A TOTAL TELEPHONE FIRST TRIAGE SYSTEM

The latest NHS guidance requires:

If you have symptoms of coronavirus, you will need to stay at home for 7 days

If you live with someone who has symptoms, you will need to stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person in the home started having symptoms.

If you live with someone who is 70 or over, has a long-term condition, is pregnant or has a weakened immune system, try to find somewhere else for them to stay for 14 days

If you have to stay at home together, try to keep away from each other as much as possible

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY UNLESS THIS HAS BEEN CLINICALLY AGREED BY THE PRACTICE.

This decision has been taken in order to minimise the potential spread of illness and to protect our staff and other patients.

From Thursday 19th March 2020 all blood clinics will be temporarily suspended.  If you need a blood test please telephone the surgery and you will be offered a pre-booked appointment after being asked our health screening questions.

We are working hard to maintain a service for all of our patients and very much appreciate your patience and assistance at this very difficult and challenging time.

If you have a PERSISTENT NEW COUGH OR FEVER DO NOT attend the practice, current guidance is that you self-isolate for 7 days.

Victoria Road Surgery offers a choice of three doctors, two male (Dr Cameron and Dr Ahmed) and one female doctor (Dr Wilkinson).  The team also includes a Practice Nurse, Practice Manager, administration and reception staff.   Community staff attached to the practice are District Nurses, Midwife and Health Visitor.

We offer a full general medical service, which includes long-term condition reviews, cervical smears, childhood and adult immunisation, family planning, travel advice and vaccinations, health education and some minor surgery.

At Victoria Road Surgery we aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence.  We feel it is important you know who you are speaking to, so our practice staff wear a name badge and identify themselves on the telephone.
