Community Garden Group Leader – Victoria Road Surgery
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to lead our weekly community gardening group every Wednesday at Victoria Road Surgery.
This is a voluntary position and forms part of our social prescribing initiative. Our community garden is a valued and much-loved space, providing a welcoming and therapeutic environment for our patients to connect, be active, and improve their wellbeing. We are excited to relaunch this project and are seeking someone who can inspire, organise, and guide our participants.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the gardening group sessions every Wednesday
- Support and encourage participants of all abilities
- Help maintain and develop the community garden space
- Work collaboratively with the surgery’s social prescribing team
What we’re looking for
- Experience in gardening or horticulture (professional or voluntary)
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Organised and reliable, with a friendly and inclusive approach
- Passion for community engagement and wellbeing
Mandatory checks (including DBS) will be completed before a final offer is made.
